ADCONSULT in Montevideo

Meeting with 15+ digital, media, communications & PR agencies from Russia on March 24th

Hi!

I’d like to invite you to a meeting with a group of 15+ CEOs and owners of independent digital, media, marketing and advertising agencies from Russia, that are coming to Montevideo this March 24th to meet with colleagues for networking and new business opportunities.

I’m Roman Pivovarov, managing partner of ADCONSULT. It is a networking project for ad, media & digital industry in Russophone (Russian-speaking) markets, i.e. in Russia, ex-USSR countries, Eastern Europe and so on.  We unite about 1000 agencies in the region for networking, collaboration and joint projects.

We are not an official delegation, we are not connected to the Russian government, we are just marketing & advertising businessmen looking for new partnerships, new markets for our clients and new solutions.

I guess, you could call us something like an informal club or an association of agency owners.

What’s the benefit?

Here are some examples of various business opportunities that may arise from this meeting:

  • Many companies from Russia are now interested in entering and investing in LA markets. So they are now looking for advertising and marketing partners, they may become clients of your agency. Many agencies in our delegation have clients in their portfolio that are evaluating launching in Latam in nearest future.
  • Numerous adtech / marktech / e-commerce & edtech tools & products, originally developed by those agencies for the Russophone markets, are now expanding worldwide and, equally, are looking for partners & vendors on the continent.
  • Russian agencies with current international clients are looking for partners, suppliers and professionals whom they can delegate part of their work, especially for projects in the Spanish-speaking markets.
  • Perhaps, your clients are also interested in selling to Russian / Eastern European markets, especially after the exit of American and Western brands from the Russian market. There are now numerous empty and vacant niches in many industries.

Of course, there is no guarantee that we will strike any kind of business deal right on the next day. :)

But our 10+ year experience with similar networking projects in other countries speaks for itself: quite often very concrete business opportunities arise from such meetings, when our members find partners, exchange clients, or become vendors for their projects.

This is why I'm proposing this brief meeting to discuss opportunities that are opening up right now for possible partnerships.

Let’s meet up and research these opportunities.

I’m sure this meeting will be remarkably beneficial for both sides and will open up great prospects.

Please, let me know if you are interested.

We are available in the week of March 20-24th 2023.

On March 20th-23rd we will be in Buenos Aires, and on March 24th we are travelling to Montevideo.

Please email me at pivovarov@adconsult.ru or WhatsApp / call me at +54 9 11 2680 7568.

I'm looking forward to getting in touch with you soon.

Q&A

Further details & background of the project

At ADCONSULT we've been organizing such international networking trips for over 10 years.

Since 2012 we've helped Russian-speaking ad / media / marketing / digital agencies to build connections in over 30 countries.

In 2019 we've already visited Buenos Aires with a group of Russian, Ukrainian (yes, it was possible back then), Kazakh & Azerbaijanian agencies. Back then we've met with Muchnik PR, Urban Group, Ignis Media, R/GA, Quiroga Media and a number of other agencies.  It was a very productive trip.

Now, in 2023, tragic political events of Russian governments' aggression towards Ukraine made Russian business hostage to the situation.

That is especially true for modern digital, creative and tech business projects that now feel themselves unwanted in a quickly militarizing country.

Many companies, projects and startups have now started to look abroad for possible business activities. Latin America, along with Middle East and South East Asia is a priority in their search for new opportunities and for possible locations of their investments.

Meanwhile, agencies with Russian roots can bring new adtech / martech / ecommerce solutions to the markets, and are ready to invest in new partnerships.

They also will take along with them their clients, bringing them to their partner agencies in Latin America.

How do these meetings usually go? What’s the agenda?

We usually come for one full work week and we try to arrange at least two meetings per day.

Usually one such meeting lasts about two hours.

Here’s an suggested simple agenda of the gathering:

  • Quick round of mutual introductions: who is who, who is doing what. A very brief self-presentation in a couple of words: agency’s specialty, key activities, future interests, etc.
  • We would be grateful, if our hosts made something like a very brief and informal presentation of the agency. Just to cover the basics. We are really eager to see your work, your philosophy & approach to clients’ tasks.
  • Then we share our ideas and proposals about mutual projects, i.e. clients that want to expand to the market, digital & marketing tools that we could share or launch. Your opinions and feedback on this would be most welcome.
  • At this stage we explore some grounds for possible cooperation and make notes for future discussions.
  • Finally, we go into a session of Q&As which takes up rest of the time. About the market, the tools, the tech, the potential clients, etc. The group has usually numerous questions, so we rely on our moderator, head of the group, to run this session in a way that it would benefit both sides.
  • Informal private chats for future contacts in the end.

These meetings are very informal, because we are all colleagues.

We are not an official delegation, we’re just agency leaders, just as you are.

We believe that such meetings are very helpful and useful to our participants, and, in fact, may also be fun and valuable experiences for the host agency/company as well.

As one of our hosts said: “Guys, this has been very fruitful for us, because you’ve asked us questions that we would’ve never asked ourselves”.

Why do we do this?

The main purpose of such meetings is experience exchange, networking and establish connections between Russian and worldwide advertising businesses and to research the possibility of further cooperation.

We talk about advertising approaches, client work, management issues, basically, about anything that could be of interest to each other.

This exchange of ideas and observations provides very valuable insights both for the members of our group and for our hosts.

At ADCONSULT we believe that our mission in these projects is to bring Russian ad market closer to international standards and to help it to find its way into the worldwide advertising community.

What else we do at ADCONSULT?

International networking tours and trips is just one of our projects.

Our core activity at ADCONSULT is serving the ‘Russophone” (i.e. Russian-speaking) advertising, media, digital and creative media markets.

Since 2005 we’ve been providing consulting and training expertise to over 1500 advertising agencies and media companies in the region.

Our key activities include consulting projects, M&As, leadership training, business networking for agencies and industry professionals.

Our clients vary greatly, from Moscow-based branches of multinationals (WPP, Omnicom, IPG, Publicis, Dentsu, Havas and others), to leading independet creative studios to small regional ad agencies or local newspapers and other media companies.

Of course, we partner with major Russian marketing and advertising societies and associations (AKAR, ADINDEX, etc), but our main focus is business development, leadership education and networking for ad/media industry rather than market research, ratings, awards, or policymaking and lobbying, etc.
